Hartt Salsa All-Stars Bring the Beat to DC
They're familiar faces on campus and they've been seen on stages throughout New England. Now, The University of Hartford's own Hartt Salsa All-Stars have hit the nation's capital. The All-Stars gave a half-hour performance to wind up Education Secretary Miguel Cardona's Educacion en Accion Summit on October 15.

UHart Students Contributing to Research on the Opioid Problem in Connecticut
Through the University of Hartford's Center for Social Research, students and faculty are studying the best practices for operating recovery houses in Litchfield County, located in northwest Connecticut. Criminal justice students Mason Brooks '20 and Kylie Roosa '20 are working with the Litchfield County Opiate Task Force (LCOTF) to identify and implement best practices for recovery and sober homes.

Area Residents Win $5,000 Grant from Newman's Own Foundation
The University of Hartford's Society of Women Engineers won a $5,000 grant from Newman's Own Foundation and was presented a check during the America East Basketball Tournament at the University on Friday, March 2. The chapter received an honorable mention in the third annual Newman's Own Foundation Campus Community Service Challenge.
