Three University of Hartford Scholar-Athletes Become All-Americans at NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships

On Thursday, Friday and Saturday the University of Hartford women's outdoor track & field team competed in the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships scoring 10 points over the week. Graduate student Kayla Pelletier of Southington, Conn., won the National Championship in the javelin throw, becoming the first national champion in school history. On Friday, junior Jordan Murphy of East Hampton, Conn., became the first outdoor track & field All-American in school history after placing 10th in the high jump competition to secure a USTFCCCA 2nd Team All-American selection. Sophomore Tamara Greene of Hartford, Conn., finished 10th, just missing the cut into Saturday but earning the USTFCCCA 2nd Team All-American status. This concludes an historic Hawks outdoor track & field season which has now crowned its first three All-Americans in program history.
